ExemptPOSITION SUMMARY
The Head Women's Softball Coach is responsible to the Director of Athletics. The position is full-time and does offer benefits, as specified in the employee handbook. The coach will be responsible for all aspects of establishing and maintaining a quality and competitive softball program while upholding the mission and ideals of Hannibal-LaGrange University. The ideal candidate will possess the qualifications necessary to serve as an instructor, contributing to the academic mission of the university as a faculty coach. Candidates with academic preparation in Exercise Science, Sports Management, or Physical Education are preferred. Candidates without teaching qualifications may still be considered based on relevant coaching experience, professional background, and overall fit with the department and institution. Employee must possess a vibrant, personal Christian faith including a clear testimony of Christian conversion and be actively involved in an evangelical, preferably Southern Baptist, church.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All aspects of the softball program related to successful coaching, recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes, budgeting, scheduling, promotions, and fundraising • The coach may be assigned a small teaching load or other responsibilities within the Athletic Department, particularly in areas such as Exercise Science, Sports Management, or Physical Education, depending on qualifications and institutional needs • Must maintain proper licensure to drive HLGU vehicles on some trips; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred Administrative duties assigned by the Athletic Director Act as a Campus Security Authority (CSA)DEPARTMENTAL RELATIONSHIPS

Must have values consistent with the mission and purpose of Hannibal-LaGrange University Must agree to, sign off on, and abide by the standards of employment outlined in the employment application and employee handbook Must have strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills • Ability to effectively engage in both athletic and academic environments as a faculty coach is preferredEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING
• Master's degree and previous coaching/playing experience is preferred • Academic credentials that qualify the candidate to teach at the collegiate level are strongly preferred, particularly in Exercise Science, Sports Management, or Physical Education.Similar remote jobs
