The ideal candidate will have an strong understanding of food safety practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as a team is crucial. Experience is required. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies. Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is required. Knowledge of food handling techniques and safety protocols is essential. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. We are a small family-run tavern and are looking to have someone lead our kitchen staff!
