POSITION SUMMARY
The Head Football Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the football program. The successful candidate is to be an exemplary role model for all athletes, school, community, and District. The Head Football Coach shall recognize that the purpose of athletics is to promote the physical, mental, moral, and emotional well-being of the individual athlete.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree 3 years of current or past experience as head or assistant coach, preferred Valid Arkansas teaching license Demonstrated ability to instruct and supervise student athletes Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall supervision and development of the football program, including junior varsity, junior high, and 7th Monitor assignments and duties of assistant coaches and annually evaluate all assistant coaches. Responsible for creating and executing practice schedules for all levels of the program. Responsible for general upkeep, inventory, and protection of athletic equipment. Maintains ongoing communication with the Athletic Director regarding any developments in the program. Responsible for all purchase orders of the football program. Responsible for the development of student athletes including physically, mentally, and character development. Oversee the safety conditions of the assigned athletic facility in which sport is conducted. Reports any unsafe conditions to the Athletic Director. Promote the sport by prompt and accurate reporting of all public relations aspects of the sport to the local media. Facilitate the long-term success and viability of the program by establishing positive relationships. Schedule transportation, games, and use of facilities for program and events. Work with the Athletic Director for all fundraising activities and maintain accurate records of monies collected and deposited in compliance with District policies and procedures. Coordinate pre-season parent meetings for all levels of sports to review scholastic eligibility requirements, athletic code of conduct, team rules, injury prevention, and inherent risks of the sport. Monitor scholastic eligibility and conduct of athletes. Communicate with families and athletes. Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to the policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the District, Arkansas Activities Association, and Department of Education. Act as liaison between the Athletic Director and coaching staff. Perform other duties, as assigned. Responsible for the safety and security of the team and athletes before, during, and after program events. Serves in a leadership capacity in the football program. Schedules athletic contests in conjunction with the Athletic Director. Maintain accurate statistics, records, and results of the season. Maintain inventory of equipment. Maintain up to date requirements for coaching as outlined by Arkansas Activities Association.

The employee occasionally will be required to lift and/or push up to 50 lbs.
