This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to inspire and develop young athletes, fostering their skills both on and off the field. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of the game, and a commitment to promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth among student-athletes. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for middle school football players, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Plan and conduct regular practices, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants. Organize and oversee all aspects of the football program, including scheduling games, coordinating transportation, and managing equipment. Foster a culture of respect, discipline, and inclusivity among players, coaches, and parents. Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding team progress, schedules, and expectations. Monitor the academic and personal development of student-athletes, encouraging them to excel in both athletics and academics. Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance the overall athletic program at Bethany Middle School. Uphold and enforce all school and district policies, as well as state athletic association rules and regulations. Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay current with best practices in coaching and player development. Requirements Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level, with a focus on football. Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and training techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the football season. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). A commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes. Background check clearance as required by school district policies. High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in physical education, sports management, or a related field is preferred.
