Pay:
$100,000 - $120,000 per year Head of Services (STRTP)About the Role The Head of Services (HOS) is a key leadership position within our Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP), responsible for overseeing all clinical and service coordination operations within the facility. This role ensures that each youth receives individualized, trauma-informed, and clinically appropriate care in compliance with Community Care Licensing (CCL), CARF, and STRTP regulations. The Head of Services provides leadership to the clinical team, supports interdisciplinary collaboration, and maintains oversight of client treatment planning, service delivery, and overall quality of care. This position carries a clinical caseload of up to 6 youth while also providing supervision and operational oversight of therapeutic services throughout the program. This role must be qualified and willing to provide clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians and trainees when applicable. Key ResponsibilitiesIntake & Admissions Review placement packets from counties throughout California. Conduct and/or supervise intake screenings and clinical assessments. Coordinate timely admissions and facilitate intra-agency transfers. Collaborate with Social Workers, Probation Officers, Facility Managers, Residential Therapists, and outside providers during intake and transition planning. Clinical Oversight & Direct Services Maintain a clinical caseload of up to 6 youth , providing therapy, treatment planning, and case coordination services as needed. Provide clinical supervision to associate therapists, trainees, and/or clinical staff in accordance with California BBS standards when applicable. Supervise and support the Residential Therapist team. Provide clinical guidance, crisis consultation, and therapeutic oversight. Create and manage therapy schedules and clinical service coordination. Oversee completion of Needs & Services Plans (NSPs), Monthly Client Reports, and other required documentation. Ensure all services are trauma-informed, client-centered, culturally responsive, and clinically appropriate. Send weekly progress updates to assigned social workers and/or probation officers. Client Coordination & Care Enter and maintain client information in Extended Reach for compliance and audit purposes. Coordinate all required well-being appointments within mandated timelines, including physical, dental, and vision appointments. Ensure school enrollment occurs within required timelines and coordinate IEP meetings when applicable. Attend and participate in Child & Family Team (CFT) meetings, IEP meetings, and CSEC Collaborative meetings. Maintain an organized calendar of client appointments, court dates, meetings, and treatment obligations. Assist with identifying mentors, advocates, and community-based supports for youth. Compliance, Safety, & Operations Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing (CCL), CARF, STRTP, and agency policies and procedures. Complete Suspected Child Abuse Reports (SCARs), incident reports, and law enforcement reports as required. Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities for crisis support and program needs. Support crisis intervention, stabilization, and safety planning for youth. Transport clients as needed for appointments, meetings, school-related needs, or emergencies. Required Education & Experience Master's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, Child Psychology, Social Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.Current active California license required:

Licensed Psychologist Psychiatrist Must meet California BBS requirements to provide clinical supervision to associate clinicians and trainees.Completion of at least:
Three semester units or 100 days of field practice/experience in a public or private social service agency at the master's degree level. Nine semester units related to children and families, or 18 months of experience working with children and families. Three semester units related to minority populations, six months of experience working with minority populations, or completion of in-service training within the first year of employment. Three semester units in child welfare or two years of experience in a public or private child welfare setting. Minimum one year of therapeutic experience working with adolescents required. Experience working with foster youth, CSEC youth, probation youth, or public child welfare populations strongly preferred. Additional Qualifications Strong clinical judgment and crisis intervention skills. Knowledge of trauma-informed care and adolescent behavioral health treatment. Ability to complete and maintain timely clinical documentation and treatment plans. Familiarity with STRTP regulations, Community Care Licensing, and CARF standards. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team. Ability to pass Live Scan and criminal background clearance requirements. Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. Willingness to obtain and maintain Group Home Administrator and STRTP Administrator certifications if required.
