FACT provides services to approximately 1000 children in Calhoun, Columbia, Dallas, Hempstead, Lafayette, Nevada, Ouachita, and Union Counties, as well as in individual homes and employs over 200 individuals in the South and Southwest region of Arkansas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and provide care and education to children using agency developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment. Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, Arkansas Minimum Licensing requirements, and other federal and state regulations. Ensure progress in all areas of child development and early learning as outlined in the Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework, Teaching Strategies Gold, and Kindergarten School Readiness Skills. Form relationships with parents, conduct home visits, maintain records, and plan and prepare parent meetings and other special events and activities. Job Description is not inclusive of all duties. Professional and Ethical Standards Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children, families, and staff in accordance with Agency policy and legal requirements. Abide by all agency policies including Standards of Conduct. Be honest, reliable, and dependable. Maintain a positive work ethic and work as a team member. Qualifications Have and maintain a valid Driver's license and vehicle insurance. Have an initial health examination. Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification. Pass state Criminal Background Check, Central Registry Check, and/or FBI Background Check if applicable. Knowledge and Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; ability to respond to sensitive inquiries and complaints, reports and correspondence; ability to effectively present information to parents, staff, and the community. Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and make concise and accurate reports and solve problems. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units for measure. Ability to write and speak using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. Ability to use agency computers and software programs. Ability to supervise and manage classroom staff efficiently and effectively within the guidelines of agency policies. Education/Experience Bachelors or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field. Supervisory experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer proficiency required.
