This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, well-managed environment while ensuring all staff operate at the highest level of professionalism and readiness. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Supervision Supervise and lead a team of lifeguards on shift Assign guard stations and manage rotations throughout the day Monitor staff performance, attentiveness, and adherence to safety standards Provide real-time coaching and enforce company policies Safety & Emergency Response Take full control of all emergency situations and direct staff response Ensure proper use of rescue equipment and adherence to all safety protocols Complete accurate and timely incident and accident reports Maintain continuous surveillance and risk prevention practices Staff Coordination Develop and manage daily break schedules to ensure consistent coverage Step into coverage when necessary to maintain uninterrupted supervision Address attendance issues, including late arrivals and call-outs Facility Oversight Conduct daily opening and closing safety inspections Ensure water clarity, deck safety, and operational readiness of equipment Enforce all pool rules consistently and professionally Monitor weather conditions and implement closures when required Customer Service & Conflict Resolution Serve as the primary point of contact for patrons and staff Address concerns and resolve conflicts in a professional manner Enforce rules while maintaining a positive and respectful environment Documentation & Compliance Maintain daily logs, reports, and required documentation Ensure compliance with all local health regulations and company standards Verify that all lifeguard certifications remain current Qualifications Current Lifeguard Certification (required) CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (required) Prior lifeguarding experience required; leadership experience preferred Strong communication and decision-making skills Ability to remain calm and take control in emergency situations
