Location:
 Tuscaloosa, AL Relocation is possible Job Summary Sirius Staffing is looking for a Health & Safety Manager. As the H&S Manager you'll be responsible for the development, implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of company-wide health and safety programs across all facilities and operations. This position provides company-wide governance, strategic leadership, and technical expertise to ensure consistent application of health and safety standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices throughout the enterprise. The role partners with executive leadership, site management, and functional leaders to promote a strong safety culture, reduce operational risk, prevent incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance across all business units. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide health and safety programs, policies, standards, and procedures Establish and oversee a consistent Health & Safety Management System across all facilities Provide technical guidance and strategic leadership to site-level safety teams Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with industry best practices Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and other applicable regulations Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable company-wide programs Coordinate and support regulatory inspections, audits, and agency interactions Maintain compliance documentation and oversight processes Lead or support investigations into incidents, near-misses, and process safety events Apply root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., TapRooT, Five Why, Cause Mapping) Analyze safety trends and implement preventative strategies Establish and monitor safety performance metrics (TRIR, DART, near-misses, etc.) Develop dashboards and executive-level reports Present safety performance trends, risks, and recommendations to leadership Define and standardize safety training and competency requirements for employees and contractors Oversee contractor safety programs, including prequalification and performance monitoring Conduct or oversee safety audits, program assessments, and field observations Identify gaps between policy and execution and implement corrective action plans Ensure consistency and effectiveness of safety programs across all sites Partner with site leadership to strengthen safety culture and accountability Represent the organization with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and external stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 10+ years of progressive health & safety experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical, or heavy industrial environments Experience overseeing safety programs across multiple facilities Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards Leadership experience with the ability to influence across teams CSP or CIH certification preferred Must be authorized to work in the US - Sponsorship is not offered now or in the future Additional Details Combination of office and field-based work environments Regular travel to operating facilities required Ability to work in industrial environments and use required safety equipment Sirius Staffing is an equal opportunity employer.
