Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Healthcare Office Administrator to lead the efficient operation of our chiropractic practice. In this vital role, you will oversee administrative functions, manage financial and billing processes, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Your expertise in medical office management, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and practice management will drive the smooth delivery of patient care and administrative excellence. Duties Manage daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient intake, and medical records management using EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Epic. Oversee fiscal management activities such as, billing, coding, and financial reporting to ensure practice profitability and compliance with managed care requirements. Coordinate with medical professionals—chiropractors, nurses, physicians, —to support clinical workflows and ensure adherence to healthcare standards like JCAHO accreditation. Handle billing processes using office software such as Chirotouch, Trizetta, Eaglesoft or Dentrix; manage insurance claims, patient payments, and accounts receivable. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of medical records and implementing security protocols for patient data. Support practice growth through process improvement initiatives, utilization management strategies, and effective clinic resource allocation. Requirements Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within a clinical or hospital setting. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Demonstrated fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial reporting, and billing procedures aligned with healthcare standards. Excellent understanding of medical terminology, medical records handling, and regulatory requirements like HIPAA and JCAHO standards. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a busy office setting.
