August 2026 Tippecanoe Valley High School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Health and Elective Physical Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will primarily serve students in grades 9- 12 through Health and elective PE offerings including Weights, Officiating, Yoga, and Outdoor Education. Beginning with the 2027-2028 school year, this position will transition to a combination role serving middle school Health courses along with continued instruction of high school elective Physical Education courses. In addition, TVHS is looking for this individual to make a difference by coaching various athletic teams. Responsibilities  Provide engaging instruction in Health and Physical Education courses aligned with Indiana Academic Standards.  Promote teamwork, leadership, healthy lifestyle choices, and student well-being.  Supervise students effectively in classroom and physical education environments.  Maintain accurate student records including attendance and academic performance.  Foster a safe, inclusive, respectful, and positive learning environment for all students.  Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff members, and administrators.  Follow all district and building procedures, expectations, and policies.  Perform additional duties as assigned by school administration and instructional leadership. Qualifications  Hold a valid Indiana teaching license in Physical Education and/or Health Education OR currently be enrolled in a teacher preparation program while working toward licensure.  Knowledge and/or experience teaching secondary students preferred.  Strong understanding of health education and physical education curriculum and instruction.  Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.  Coaching experience or willingness to coach athletic teams preferred.  Ability to successfully pass a background check to work with youth. •Applicants should apply online at: https://www.tvsc.k12.in.us/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=2184460&type=d&pREC_ID=2734831 •You may also email your resume and letter of interest to krescab@tvsc.k12.in.us .
