Job Description

Find your calling at Mercy! The Health Information Associate ensures that medical records are accurately received, processed, and scanned to support patient care and revenue management, while performing various technical and clerical tasks in the HIM department.
Position Details:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Basic Computer Skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:
Experience with medical records and medical technology is preferred, with a year of experience in an acute care medical records department or customer service being preferred.
Other Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
  • Self-starting, highly motivated, and organized individual capable of making quick, informed decisions.
  • Adaptable to changing needs and dynamics, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks and work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Possesses basic skills in analysis, problem-solving, and research, with strong attention to detail.
