Position Summary Under the direction of the HIM Supervisor and the Director of Health Information Management (HIM), provides clerical and technical support for the HIM Department with a medium level of complexity and routine work situations. Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent as recognized by an approved government accreditation association. Demonstrated ability to type with acceptable speed and accuracy. Ability to operate computer, fax, printer, copy machine, and phone systems, along with strong alpha and numeric filing skills. Must have excellent customer service, organizational, multitasking, professional interpersonal and time management skill and ability to prioritize work. Willing to accept assignments on an as needed basis Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of MGRMC staff, support personnel, Answering Service Clientele, Medical Staff and the public. Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form required. An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management. Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance. Required to have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job. Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds. Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency. Preferred Qualifications Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
