Job Description

This is anopporunity to be in a fun work environment and get some healthcare work experience. Camp Description Phantom Lake YMCA Camp is a rustic property on 72 acres of a pennisula. We focus on elements safety, stability, statisfaction, and service. We have multiple different program areas such as: waterfront, boating, target sports, high ropes, challenge course, sports, etc. We oversee roughly 200-250 campers on a given week. Job Description This position supports the work of Phantom Lake YMCA Camp, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Responsible for staff & children supervision, support, documentation, and communication. Clear communicator who empowers their team, fosters a positive work environment, and leads with integrity. The Health Intern is responsible for assisting the Health Care Staff in maintaining the health and safety standards set forth by the State Health Department and camp's risk management policy standards. Qualifications Previous childcare experience Medical education or experience preferred First aid/CPR/AED certifications Willingness to attend meetings, trainings, and obtain additional certification as requested. Strong communicator Problem Solver Essential Functions Monitor health care and Maintain documentation records Implement health care plans Conduct all staff/camper arrival screenings according to camp's guidelines Assist in collecting all camper/staff medications Maintain stocked first aid kits at all locations at camp Act as the liaison between camper/staff parents as per PLYC health care policies Maintain a clean and organized workspace Attend staff meetings Perform other related duties as required Communicate health needs of children to parents Support with Night Supervision Required Certifications CPR/First Aid
