Health & Safety Medical Technician (EMT or Paramedic)

Job Overview Rose Medical Management is currently hiring for an HSMT (Health and Safety Medical Technician) for a major construction site project in Missouri. The HSMT is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment on our client's construction site. This role involves First Aid, emergency medical stabilization, injury case management, auditing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and maintaining compliance with relevant OSHA regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with experience in construction environments and hazards. Responsibilities Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Develop and implement safety training programs for employees, focusing on first aid, CPR, and overall workplace safety. Assist in the investigation of workplace incidents and accidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, incidents, and compliance reports. Collaborate with management to develop and update safety policies and procedures in line with workers' compensation laws. Provide guidance on environmental health and safety (EHS) practices to promote a culture of safety within the organization. Support employees in understanding their roles in maintaining a safe work environment through effective communication and training. Requirements OSHA 30 for Construction or higher OSHA Credential (500 Series) or BCSP Credential Proven experience in a safety technician role or similar position within a manufacturing setting. EMT-B, Advanced or Paramedic (State of Missouri or National Registry) Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation laws, and environmental health standards (EPA). Certification in BLS Provider required ; additional certifications related to occupational health are a plus. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to document findings clearly and concisely. Experience in training & development related to health and safety practices. Strong analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis of incidents. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams while promoting a proactive approach to workplace safety.
