Job Description
Senior Healthcare Architect - Lincoln / Omaha, NEWe are seeking a highly experienced Healthcare Architect to join our growing practice in the Lincoln/Omaha region. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned design professional who is passionate about healthcare architecture and thrives in leading complex, mission-driven projects from early planning through construction.
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping healthcare environments that prioritize patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and long-term flexibility. You'll collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams while contributing to the overall strategic direction of our healthcare portfolio.
What You'll DoLead the architectural design and technical execution of healthcare projects from programming and conceptual design through construction administrationServe as a primary point of contact for clients, building trust and translating clinical, operational, and regulatory requirements into thoughtful design solutionsCoordinate with multidisciplinary consultant teams including engineering, specialty healthcare planners, and contractorsApply in-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, building codes, FGI Guidelines, and best practices to ensure compliance and qualityOversee the preparation of construction documents, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and constructabilityReview shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals and provide architectural input during constructionSupport business development efforts through proposal development, interviews, and client presentations as neededMentor and guide junior staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining high design and technical standardsContribute to continuous improvement of internal processes, standards, and healthcare design expertiseWhat We're Looking For7+ years of professional experience in healthcare architectureDemonstrated experience with hospitals, medical office buildings, outpatient clinics, and/or specialty care facilitiesStrong technical proficiency with healthcare planning, detailing, and documentationDeep understanding of healthcare-specific codes, regulations, and industry standardsProfessional licensure preferred (or actively pursuing licensure)Proficiency with industry-standard architectural software (experience with BIM platforms strongly preferred)Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and project qualityWhy Join UsOpportunity to work on meaningful, healthcare-focused projects that positively impact communitiesCollaborative studio environment with a talented and supportive teamLeadership opportunities and a clear path for continued professional growthCompetitive compensation package, including salary and comprehensive benefitsStable workload with a strong pipeline of healthcare projectsA culture that values design excellence, technical rigor, and work-life balance📍
