Licensed Acupuncturist (Independent Contractor)

Position Overview Callinan Acupuncture and Wellness is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Acupuncturist to join our growing wellness practice. We are looking for a provider who is passionate about helping patients achieve optimal health through holistic care, with a strong focus on sports recovery, pain management, and overall wellness. The ideal candidate is experienced in treating musculoskeletal conditions, sports-related injuries, chronic pain, and stress-related concerns while providing exceptional patient care and creating individualized treatment plans. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans Provide acupuncture treatments focused on pain relief, sports recovery, injury prevention, and wellness support Educate patients on treatment plans, lifestyle recommendations, and holistic wellness strategies Maintain accurate and timely patient records and charting Collaborate with other wellness providers and staff to ensure an exceptional patient experience Build strong patient relationships through professionalism, communication, and compassionate care Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant treatment environment Stay current on acupuncture techniques, continuing education, and industry best practices Qualifications & Requirements Active and current California Acupuncture License required Minimum 2-3 years of professional acupuncture experience required Strong experience and interest in sports medicine, pain management, and injury recovery Excellent bedside manner and communication skills Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment Strong organizational and time management skills CPR certification preferred Experience with cupping, electroacupuncture, and adjunct therapies is a plus Preferred Qualities Passion for health, wellness, and patient-centered care Experience treating athletes and active individuals Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude Desire to grow with an expanding wellness practice Compensation & Benefits Flexible scheduling opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunity for professional growth and development
