Description:
Position Summary As an Acupuncturist, you will be responsible for providing direct acupuncture care to patients. You will work in a team environment with chiropractors, physical therapists among other clinical staff under the referral of the occupational medicine physician. Duties include preparation of treatments, administering proper needling techniques among other alternative medicine tools. The acupuncture division of Agile Occupational Medicine is a rapidly growing business emphasizing quality care with the highest standards. The Agile approach is focused on speed of recovery while we keep the patient engaged in the process, with aggressive scheduling and follow-up, getting injured workers back to work and life as soon as possible. You will enjoy state-of-the-art equipment and well-trained staff to assist with providing excellent care. Schedule:
3 days weekly, 16-20 hours per week
Compensation:
Starting compensation range is $70.00- $80.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Responsibilities In conjunction with clinic physicians and providers, administer holistic and therapeutic treatment to patients, from assessment to diagnosis and care recommendation. Meet with patients to discuss medical history, symptoms, and concerns, and conduct thorough assessments to determine appropriate acupuncture treatments. Create personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs, including determining the number and frequency of acupuncture sessions required. Administer acupuncture treatments such as needling, ensuring proper technique and compliance. Regularly evaluate the patient's response to treatment, adjusting the treatment plan as necessary to ensure optimal results. Maintain detailed records of all treatments and progress made.
Educate patients:
Inform patients about the benefits and potential risks of acupuncture, addressing any concerns or questions they may have, and providing guidance on self-care techniques to maintain their health between treatments.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals:
Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, such as doctors and physical therapists, to ensure holistic and integrated patient care. Complete timely and accurate documentation. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of acupuncture techniques, theories, and principles. Graduate from an accredited acupuncturist program. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and effectively explain treatment plans and procedures. Good observational skills to assess patient conditions and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to develop effective treatment plans and address any challenges that may arise. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Time management and organizational skills to effectively manage a caseload of patients and maintain a schedule.
