POSITION SUMMARY
The Psychometrist Intern provides superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service by conducting Brief Neuropsychological Evaluations (BNE) or Rescreen BNE for Memory Disorder Clinic (MDC) Comprehensive Medical Memory Evaluation; Memory Screens; and Community Activities/Educations events on behalf of the Memory Disorder Clinic. The Psychometrist Intern conducts all activities through the MDC, under the direction and clinical supervision of the Board Certified Neuropsychology and Program Manager of Memory Disorder Clinic.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reviews Student Handbook and attends New Student Orientation with program manager; completes on-going education trainings, and training process to complete Brief BNE, Rescreens BNE, community screens, and any new testing or required paperwork while remaining in compliance with all policies and procedures. Remains in compliance with Health First, MDC, Aging Services policies and procedures including Health First/Memory Clinic Safety Requirements Follows proper procedures and protocol with depression screening and suicidal assessment, referring to Health First Aging Services and Memory Clinic clinical staff for follow-up if needed. Complies and follows all Confidentiality and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) requirements both in and out of office. Conducts at least One BNE or BNE Rescreens a week, and completes data cruncher as well as, all required paperwork for review prior to presentation at Clinical Case Review meetings. Performs clinical write-up of evaluation and recommendations within one week of completion of Case Review for review by Neuropsychologist. Attends in person weekly clinical case review. Provides at least one, two-hour (three memory screens at forty-minutes for each one for a total of a two hour commitment) screening slots a month to conduct memory screens at the Memory Clinic, following screen procedure including completion of consents and memory screen assessment with all clients scheduled for appointment. Submits all paperwork within forty-eight hours of completion of screen. Completes research project at the MDC, following the approved MDC process working with FIT IRB and Neuropsychologist, Aging Medical Director, and Program Manager if desired. Work Experience

Current Doctoral student in Psychology at Florida Institute of Technology (FIT).

Satisfies State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Level II background screening.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Must maintain Professional Liability Insurance. Must be in good academic standing, with completed coursework in Assessment and Testing demonstrating required knowledge and skills for the role. Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping. Long periods of computer time or at workstation. Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance. May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise. Communicating with others to exchange information. Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. Workspace may vary from open to confined. Benefits
