In this position, you will assess, treat, and develop personalized care plans for individuals experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, including those in our outpatient clinic and home. Your expertise will help empower patients to regain strength, function, and confidence through targeted therapy and education. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with pelvic floor disorders, with a specific focus on prenatal and postpartum populations. Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate physiotherapy techniques, trigger point therapy, and exercise programs tailored to each patient's needs. Provide patient education on physiology, anatomy, bladder and bowel management, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term health. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless care transitions from hospital to home or community settings. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to document assessments, treatment progress, and discharge summaries accurately. Apply knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to explain conditions clearly and facilitate effective communication with patients and healthcare providers. Stay current with best practices in orthopedics, womens and mens health, and other relevant fields to enhance treatment efficacy. Qualifications Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy. Valid licensure or registration as a licensed physiotherapist or equivalent credential in your region. Demonstrated experience in pelvic floor therapy with a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to pelvic health. Growth mindset, positive attitude and good interpersonal skills. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation. Experience working with diverse conditions/diagnoses in pelvic health including, but not limited to, dyspareunia, dysmenorrhea, UI/FI, pelvic organ prolapse, prostatitis, prenatal therapy, postpartum therapy, bladder pain syndrome, constipation, etc. Strong communication skills to educate patients on treatment plans and collaborate with healthcare teams effectively.
