Duties Perform detailed patient assessments through physical examinations and review of medical histories to determine appropriate acupuncture treatment plans. Administer acupuncture treatments using sterile techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety while adhering to aseptic procedures. Utilize specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy and targeted acupuncture to manage acute pain conditions effectively. Educate patients on physiology, anatomy, and pain management strategies to empower them in their healing journey. Monitor patient responses during treatments, adjusting techniques as needed to optimize outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions, patient progress, and clinical notes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and improve treatment efficacy. Bill insurance and complete medical necessity reviews in a timely manner as requested by plan details. Qualifications Valid license or certification as an Acupuncture Physician or equivalent credential in accordance with the state of Florida. Proven experience in acute pain management, trigger point therapy, injection therapy and general patient care within a clinical setting. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physical examination techniques. Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments accurately and conduct effective acupuncture treatments. Familiarity with aseptic technique standards to ensure a safe treatment environment. Excellent communication skills with a focus on compassionate patient service and education. Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of professionalism and attention to detail.
