Job Description

Job Overview:
About us: Our practice offers cutting-edge treatment for many neurological conditions like concussions, brain injuries, neurodegenerative diseases, developmental disorders, dysautonomia, dizziness, strokes, and migraines. Functional Neurology is a unique specialty of clinical neuroscience that addresses the root cause of brain dysfunction. Neurological Rehabilitation is achieved through precise stimulation and therapy, without utilizing invasive procedures or medication.
About the role:
Employees in this position will be under the direction of the Doctor, a board certified functional neurologist. Employees will work closely with the doctor and other technicians to provide therapeutic support to patients with neurological conditions and injuries. The employee with complete a course to become a certified chiropractic assitant, at the expense of the employer. Employees will assist in completing neurological exams, implementing treatment plans, and supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. This position provides a unique opportunity to help make an impact on individuals with neurological conditions. The employee may be crosstrained in assisting with various administrative and marketing tasks. This is an hourly, as-needed position with a flexible schedule based on clinic demand. Weekly hours may vary, averaging between 20 to 40 hours per week. This is a private practice and we are looking for someone who thrives in an personal slower pace setting.
Responsibilities:
Complete a North Carolina Chiropractic Assistant course. This is an 18-hour self-guided online course with one in-person training day. This course will be paid for by Precision Brain Center. Assist the doctor in conducting and documenting neurological exams, medical history reviews, and testing. Support patients in treatment sessions by providing hands-on or verbal assistance during exercises. Administer activities, exercises, or modalities to patients as prescribed by the doctor. Monitor patient changes and progress, and help with documentation of observations and changes in patient records. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and patient areas are properly sanitized and ready for use in between patients. Also ensuring the office is fully cleaned and trash is taken out at least once a week. Employees must take initiative to learn the fundamentals of Functional Neurology and therapy modalites in order to confidentaly & correctly communicate with patients. Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to professional guidelines and standards as stated in the Standard Operating Procedures. Assist with marketing and social media accounts as needed if the marketing manager is unavailable or needs assistance. Assist with phones and scheduling as needed if the office manager is unavailable or needs assistance. Connect with other healthcare and wellness providers to foster referral relationships as needed.
Requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to patients and their families in an effective and empathetic manner. Attention to detail with an ability to keep documentation and record-keeping organized and accurate. Ability to work collaboratively with the Doctor, office manager, and other staff members. You will receive a NC Chiropractic Assistant Certification, so previous therapy assistance experience is not required. Knowledge of office management systems and procedure. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in Google Drive Ability to create, edit, share, and maintain documents and spreadsheets using Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc. Familiarity with other G Suite applications such as Gmail and Google Calendar. Experience with and/or understanding of Google Drive's share settings/permissions, and organizing folders effectively within Google Drive to ensure efficient retrieval of information/patient records.
