Job Description

SoftWave Therapy Technician Location:
Omaha, Nebraska Schedule:
Three to four 8-hour shifts per week, generally 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Pay:
$24.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Position Type:
Part-time, in person About the Position BC Healthcare, LLC is seeking a personable, dependable SoftWave Therapy Technician to work directly with patients under medical guidance. Prior experience operating a SoftWave device is not required or expected . We will provide training on the equipment, treatment procedures, documentation, and clinic workflow. The right candidate will bring excellent people skills, a strong working knowledge of human anatomy, and the ability to help patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visits. This may be an especially good fit for a former or current massage therapist, physical therapy professional, athletic trainer, chiropractic assistant, or someone with a strong anatomy background who is looking for work that may be gentler on the body than traditional hands-on treatment roles. https://softwavetrt.com/faq/ Primary Responsibilities Perform SoftWave therapy sessions according to provider-established treatment plans and medical guidance Help patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and informed throughout their appointments Identify and discuss relevant anatomical structures and treatment areas Position patients appropriately and safely for treatment Operate the SoftWave device after completing clinic-provided training Complete basic patient charting and treatment documentation Enter and review information using clinic computer systems Prepare treatment rooms and equipment between patients Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment Assist with appropriate clinic projects and responsibilities during gaps in the treatment schedule Communicate patient questions, concerns, or changes to the supervising medical provider Qualifications Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills Solid understanding of human anatomy and anatomical terminology Ability to accurately identify common muscles, joints, bones, and treatment areas Comfortable being evaluated or quizzed on anatomy during the interview process Comfortable working directly with patients in a clinical setting Willingness to learn new equipment, procedures, and documentation standards Dependable, professional, organized, and able to follow medical direction Able to remain productive and identify useful work during slower periods Basic comfort with computers, data entry, and electronic charting Prior SoftWave experience is not required. Relevant experience in massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic care, fitness, sports medicine, anatomy, medical assisting, or another patient-facing field is helpful but not mandatory. Physical Requirements This position includes a combination of: Sitting and standing throughout the workday Bending, stooping, and positioning equipment Reaching and working around treatment tables Computer and basic charting work Repetitive operation of treatment equipment Assisting patients with positioning as appropriate Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the position. Schedule and Paid Time Off The position will begin with a consistent, set schedule of three 8-hour shifts per week , generally from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A fourth weekly shift may become available based on patient scheduling needs, performance, reliability, and the employee's ability to remain productive and contribute to clinic operations between scheduled treatments. This is an in-person position and requires dependable attendance on the agreed-upon recurring schedule. Lunch is paid when taken on site while remaining available to support clinic operations. Employees receive the equivalent of two scheduled workweeks of paid time off annually , based on their regular schedule: Three-day workweek: 6 PTO days annually Four-day workweek: 8 PTO days annually What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is warm, confident, and genuinely enjoys working with people. They can explain what they are doing without overwhelming the patient, accept direction from medical providers, and balance independent responsibility with appropriate clinical oversight. We are not looking for someone who already knows how to use SoftWave. We are looking for someone with the anatomy knowledge, personality, judgment, and work ethic needed to become excellent at it.
