Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an independent, passionate, and curious psychotherapist (LCSW, MSW, LMFT, PsyD) with 10+ years of clinical practice experience to join our integrative medicine team. Are you passionate about truly helping people heal? Do you thrive in a collaborative, patient-centered environment where your ideas are valued and your work has meaning every single day? We'd love to meet you. We are a growing integrative medicine practice on the Connecticut shoreline, dedicated to providing exceptional, whole-person care. Our team is close-knit, supportive, and committed to creating an environment where both our patients and our providers can thrive. We believe in working together, listening deeply, and crafting personalized treatment plans that empower our patients to live their healthiest lives.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a seasoned psychotherapist who believes that healing is possible when we treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis. You have the clinical and life experience to help people learn new approaches to dealing with emotional pain, life transitions, trauma, and grief. You understand that diagnoses like depression, anxiety, ADHD and bipolar disorder are not just psychological but point to underlying physiologic imbalances that the conventional medical system all too often does not address. You are drawn to the opportunity to practice in a setting where mental and emotional healing is supported by integrative and functional medicine, and where care is collaborative, personalized, and always analyzing the mind-body connection. You thrive in a mission-centered environment where psychotherapy is not isolated from the rest of health care, but instead woven into a larger commitment to transformation, resilience, and lasting wellness. This role is for a therapist who wants to be part of something bigger—an approach to mental health that honors physiology and psychology, individuality and complexity, and aims to restore wholeness addressing every aspect of what it means to be human. Responsibilities Provide individual psychotherapy for adults Collaborate with functional medicine doctors to support comprehensive, root-cause treatment plans Incorporate an integrative lens that recognizes the interplay of biology, psychology, lifestyle, relationships, inflammation, gut-brain health, hormones, neurotransmitters, genetics, and nervous system regulation Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment goals Support patients in behavior change, emotional resilience, stress management, and long-term healing Utilize evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic therapy, somatic approaches, and EMDR Proficiency in motivational interviewing and patient assessment methods to enhance engagement and treatment outcomes. Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary care planning with medical providers, health coaches, and nutrition teams Maintain timely, ethical documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards Qualifications CT Licensed clinician: LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD , or equivalent Minimum 10 years of psychotherapy experience in clinical practice Strong background in treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and bipolar spectrum conditions Demonstrated interest in or training in integrative, holistic, or functional approaches to mental health Comfort working in a collaborative medical environment alongside naturopathic physicians Trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered care philosophy Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team Preferred Experience Exposure to functional medicine or integrative psychiatry models Training in somatic therapy, EMDR, internal family systems (IFS), mindfulness-based interventions Experience supporting patients with complex chronic illness, neurodivergence, or treatment-resistant mood disorders Interest in addressing lifestyle factors such as sleep, nutrition, metabolic health, stress physiology, and nervous system regulation Why Join Us Our clinic is committed to transforming mental health care by moving beyond symptom management toward true healing. We believe depression, anxiety, ADHD, and bipolar disorder are often influenced by deeper biological and psychosocial drivers—and that the best outcomes come from collaborative, integrative care. This is a unique opportunity to practice psychotherapy in a setting that honors both emotional depth and medical complexity, supporting patients in addressing the full spectrum of root causes. Schedule & Compensation Compensation based on performance and experience Full-time and part-time opportunities available. Hybrid options considered. Please attach your resume/CV with cover letter to your application.
