Anesthesia Technician

Anesthesia Technician 4226 Surgical Services (OR) Part Time, Day Shift, 0700-1530; Pay Range=$30 to $32.33 per hour, DOE.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate in this position will maintain an adequate inventory of supplies for operating rooms; clean equipment; prepare solutions and medications for anesthesia carts; assist anesthesiologists, residents, and other professional personnel in preparing patients for surgery; and to do other work as required.

REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. One year of experience as a nursing assistant, pharmacy clerk or hospital supply technician. (Completion of a recognized nursing assistant training program may be substituted for 6 months of the required experience.) Minimum two years of experience as an anesthesia technician preferred. Knowledge of anesthesia technology and technician duties and scope of practice required. Knowledge of related healthcare regulations and survey process required. American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians Certification preferred.
