Job Description

Located in a tight-knit community in Kings County, Adventist Health Hanford has been serving the Central Valley since 1965. We are comprised of a 173-bed hospital and many outpatient clinics with primary and specialty care services. Hanford residents are proud of their city's historic charm and family-friendly atmosphere. Within an hour's travel time, Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks can be enjoyed.
Job Summary:
Assists anesthesiologists with the administration of formulated therapeutic plans for anesthetic care. Performs routine assigned clinical tasks of limited complexity. Works under direct supervision within defined parameters.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required Associate's/Technical Degree in biology, chemistry, physics, math or equivalent combination of education/related experience:
Preferred Licenses/Certifications:
National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA): Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS
OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS
) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Certified Anesthesia Tech (CAT):
Required Essential Functions:
Gathers patient data and assists with physical and mental patient evaluations. Documents surgical procedures and assists directing anesthesiologists with the administration of formulated therapeutic plans for anesthetic care. Makes decisions regarding own work, often limited and confined to routine matters. Elevates questions, problems and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
