Takes inventory, orders and stocks anesthesia carts within the department. Responsible for providing coordination and assembly of anesthesia carts. The process includes inventory management, restocking, proactively identification of supply/drug needs. Assists with the morning/daily set up of the Operating rooms for anesthesia needs. Places orders for supplies and receives incoming orders. Understands blood and body fluid precautions and disinfection techniques. Ensures documentation for sterilization, including biological testing, chemical indicators of equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of surgical terminology, instrumentation, and supplies Knowledge of instrumentation blood and body fluid precautions, disinfection techniques and methods of sterilization Two years recent O.R. experience with knowledge of the basic technical aspects of general, regional and pediatric anesthesia and aseptic technique preferred Completion of manufacturer's training program for anesthesia machine and ventilator maintenance and repair preferred License Required N/A License Preferred N/A Certifications Required N/A Certifications Preferred BLS certification ACLS
