Job Description

Anesthesia Support Tech Monday-Friday | Full Time 80hr biweekly Meritus Health is currently hiring an Anesthesia Support Tech to join our collaborative perioperative team. This role is an essential part of delivering safe, efficient anesthesia care. You'll support licensed anesthesia providers by preparing, organizing, and maintaining the equipment and supplies required for anesthesia administration—excluding medication handling. Your work helps ensure smooth procedures, patient safety, and a dependable surgical environment rooted in compassion and excellence. Assist anesthesia providers by preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies needed for anesthesia care Ensure rooms and equipment are properly set up, stocked, and functioning prior to procedures Support safe patient care by following established protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work area Monitor equipment needs and communicate issues promptly to maintain readiness Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and safety standards at all times Collaborate with perioperative team members to support efficient workflow and high‑quality care Assist anesthesia providers by preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies needed for anesthesia care Ensure rooms and equipment are properly set up, stocked, and functioning prior to procedures Support safe patient care by following established protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work area Monitor equipment needs and communicate issues promptly to maintain readiness Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and safety standards at all times Collaborate with perioperative team members to support efficient workflow and high‑quality care Education High School Diploma or equivalent High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Clinical or patient care experience preferred At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred Clinical or patient care experience preferred At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred Licensure/Certification Current BLS (CPR) certification in compliance with policy Current BLS (CPR) certification in compliance with policy Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Understanding of medical terminology related to anesthesia care Familiarity with anesthesia equipment and related supplies Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment Awareness of role limitations and scope of practice Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold patient rights Strong communication and teamwork skills Understanding of medical terminology related to anesthesia care Familiarity with anesthesia equipment and related supplies Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment Awareness of role limitations and scope of practice Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold patient rights Strong communication and teamwork skills Caring for Our Team We are committed to supporting the well-being and professional development of our team members through a comprehensive benefits package, which includes: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Coverage begins on the first of the month following your hire date .
