Positions and shifts to accommodate all schedules What you will do: Responsible for assisting the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) teams with direct and indirect patient care. Functions as a member of PACU "Hot Team" under the direct supervision of a registered perioperative nurse. Primary functions include Transporting (stretcher, bed, wheelchair) and Environmental Services. Additional functions include assisting with direct patient care, applying aseptic principles and techniques, supporting resource and environmental management of the post anesthesia setting, and professional development. Significant amounts of lifting, pushing/pulling and standing.
Responsibilities:
Identifies and transports correct patients to correct locations (next phase of care). Demonstrates proper body mechanics while transferring and positioning patients. Assists with patient positioning and emergence from anesthesia. Identifies basic PACU equipment and supplies. Transports and stores equipment. Cleans equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines. Restocks assigned areas. Obtains and delivers supplies and equipment. Performs environmental cleaning according to housekeeping matrix What you will need: High School Diploma or GED 1-2 years of experience in a health care environment
  • must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) credential within 30 days of hire (provided by SPHP)

Range:
$17.25
  • $21.
45 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
