Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Anesthesia Technician, where your expertise will directly support patient care in high-acuity environments. In this vital role, you will assist anesthesia providers by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment, ensuring sterile procedures, and managing supplies to facilitate safe and efficient surgical and critical care procedures. Your dedication will help create a seamless experience for patients undergoing complex surgeries, trauma interventions, and intensive care treatments. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting that values precision, compassion, and technical excellence. Duties Prepare and calibrate anesthesia machines and related equipment to ensure optimal performance for surgical procedures and critical care interventions Assist anesthesia providers with patient positioning, monitoring, and airway management during procedures in operating rooms, emergency departments, or intensive care units Maintain strict aseptic techniques when handling DME (Durable Medical Equipment) and supplies to prevent infections Manage inventory control by tracking supplies, ordering necessary items, and ensuring proper storage of anesthesia-related materials Support the setup and breakdown of anesthesia equipment in accordance with hospital protocols and safety standards Document patient data accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms, including anesthesia records and medical terminology entries Monitor equipment functionality regularly, perform routine maintenance checks, and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize procedural delays Requirements Proven experience working in a Level II trauma center or hospital environment with exposure to emergency medicine and acute care settings Prior experience supporting anesthesia teams in ORs, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or ICU environments with a focus on patient care and physiology knowledge Demonstrated ability to operate anesthesia machines, DME, and other critical medical equipment efficiently Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, aseptic technique, and infection control standards Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are preferred Familiarity with hospital information systems including Epic EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes Excellent organizational skills for inventory management and control of medical supplies Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional patient care through technical expertise and compassionate service. Pay:
$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
