Overview:
Schedule:
Contingent Variable Shifts. Staff is expected to work 8/hrs. per 2 week pay period with on-call and holiday call responsibilities as well. Assists anesthesia team by creating all IVs and IV setups Sets up offsite anesthesia cases by transporting gas machines and Pyxis back stands Team-structured work environment with high amounts of collaboration required Although position is contingent, 4 weeks of training will be required before moving into minimum contingent hours.

Performs a variety of technical and supportive tasks to assist daily clinical operations. Performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies.

Essential Functions:
Prepares operating rooms for surgery by assisting with equipment and supply needs, setup, and routine maintenance. Assists OR team with room turnover, patient beds, and transportation of case carts. Maintains inventory of relevant surgical supplies and equipment. Transports patients, labs, gross specimens, and blood, as necessary.
Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Certifications:
BLS Certification, preferred.
Skills:
Basic understanding of mechanical equipment. Self-starter who requires little or no supervision. Ability to respond appropriately to life threatening situations. Effective multitasking, interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment. Working knowledge of supply chain or materials management. Working knowledge of surgical and anesthesia procedures.
Experience:
Previous health care experience, preferred.
