Position Responsibilities:

The Anesthesia Technician is under general supervision of Anesthesia Technical Manager, sets up equipment, instruments, drugs and supplies for anesthesia procedures. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Cleans anesthesia equipment and work area. Stocks anesthesia supplies in Operating Rooms, and satellite anesthesia areas such as GI Lab and Radiology. Arrange drugs and basic sterile set-up of instrument table with supplies required for anesthesia procedures in Operating Rooms and satellite anesthesia areas. Prepare and set up IVs. Set up basic equipment such as humidifiers and anesthesia gas machines. Ensure anesthesia cart and supply cabinets contain adequate supplies for procedures. Clean tables, equipment, and work area in Operating Rooms upon completion of each case as assigned by Lead Anesthesia Technician. Replace linen and supplies and empty trash. Check gauges of anesthesia tanks and replace empty tanks. Answer intercom to respond to requests for supplies and drugs from Nurse Anesthetists, Anesthesiologist, and Surgical Teams. Retrieve supplies and drugs from Pharmacist and other supply areas and deliver to Operating Rooms. Stock anesthesia carts and supply cabinets with supplies from workroom. Notify Workroom Technician of supplies needed to maintain inventory levels. Wash, dry, and prepare for sterilization all non-disposable anesthesia equipment such as laryngoscope, blades, oxygen masks, and humidifiers. Why CRMC?
