Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday:

Job Responsibilities:

Assists and anticipates needs of Anesthesiologist in invasive monitor insertion and procedures such as pulmonary artery catheter, central venous access, fiberoptic intubation and difficult airway situations per hospital policy. Demonstrates detailed technical knowledge and troubleshooting ability for anesthesia delivery systems, gas analyzer, EKG and pulse oximeter per manufacture guidelines. Prepares and assembles all necessary supplies and equipment for auto-transfusion and rapid infusion under the direction of the anesthesia provider. Maintains quality control records, cart inventories and audits per OSHA and TJC standards and hospital policies. Performs manufacturer recommended daily anesthesia machine checks according to Standard Work Document. Assists in preparation and draping of the patient for invasive monitoring procedures by the anesthesia care provider. Assists with the correct application of monitoring devices. Manages fluid and blood/blood product administration. Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Years of Experience:

6 months -- one year in a

Clinical Environment Certification :

Basic Life Support via

America Heart Association Preferred Qualification:

Anesthesia Technician experience preferred
