Job Description

Category Schools - School Therapist Job Type Contract Bring your passion for creative therapy to support students across multiple school sites as a part-time Art Therapist for the upcoming academic year. This opportunity focuses on providing specialized support to diverse learners, using your expertise to help them thrive socially and emotionally. With flexible hours and the ability to make a tangible difference, this contract position is ideal for a dedicated therapist seeking a meaningful role within a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key Qualifications:
Hold one of the following credentials: Certificate from the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification Certificate from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification from the National Recreation and Park Association for recreation or therapeutic recreation services School-based and/or art therapy experience preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work across different school teams Comfortable conducting assessments and participating in annual IEP meetings Open to providing services virtually or in-person as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver weekly therapy sessions for four students, with sessions ranging from 30 to 85 minutes each, as assigned Travel to multiple school sites as necessary for direct student support Complete required assessments and document student progress Attend IEP meetings, contributing valuable insight to each student's team Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create a positive and supportive school environment This role offers an engaging caseload while supporting flexibility: approximately 5-10 hours per week from August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027.
