Category Schools - School Therapist Job Type Contract Ignite creativity and healing as a contract Art Therapist in a vibrant school setting near Santa Clarita, CA, supporting students from August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027. This highly flexible, part-time opportunity (approximately 5-10 hours per week) lets you make a meaningful difference for young learners across several school sites, fostering emotional growth through imaginative therapeutic interventions.
Desired Credentials:
Hold one of the following:- Certificate from the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification
- Certificate from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation
- Certification from the National Recreation and Park Association in recreation or therapeutic recreation Background in school-based therapy or art therapy, particularly with children and adolescents Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, staff, and families Strong documentation and assessment abilities, including participation in IEP processes
