Clinical Therapist - Full Time Position Reports to

Creative Connections Clinical Director, Kat Cahill, LCPC, LPC, RPT Therapist Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility is to provide individual child, adolescent, adult and family therapy. a) Provide a minimum of 24 therapy service hours each week within the approved work schedule developed by the therapist and supervisor based on agency needs. b) Provide assessment of mental health concerns to clients and refer to psychiatric care when appropriate. c) Provide assessment and referrals for substance abuse counseling to clients when appropriate. d) Maintain complete client records as consistent with the standards established by Creative Connections. e) Submit billing report to the billing specialist by the end of day on Saturday for the previous work week's services and ensure that client files are prepared for billing. f) Work closely with the Clinical Director, bringing programmatic issues and needs to their attention regularly. g) Work closely with the Clinical Director, bringing ethical, legal and therapeutic needs to their attention regularly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The therapist should have knowledge and experience working with mental health, and adult, child and family issues; a working knowledge of counseling theories and practice including play therapy; work collaboratively with a diverse group of people; be available to complete other duties and tasks given by the supervisor related to the position and overall mission of the agency; possess good communication and training skills; ability to represent the company by projecting a professional demeanor and appearance; and the ability to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.

Qualification:

Master's in Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy is required. Current clinical licensure in the State of Kansas is required or the ability to obtain clinical licensure in the state of Kansas. It is preferred that the therapist has a current clinical mental health license and experience working as a play therapist.
