Job Description

OVERVIEW
The IOP Therapist serves to plan, conduct, and annotate group and individualtherapy sessions for patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads group therapy sessions as assigned by Clinical Director Develops or improves materials and topics for group therapy sessions based on clinical expertise and experience Conducts individual therapy sessions for patients on caseload Leads lectures and therapy sessions for patient family members as assigned by Clinical Director Follows all facility policies and procedures, including those related to licensure, continuing education, patient confidentiality, and documentation standards Assists with all discharge planning patient needs including FMLA, Short Term Disability, and Sober Housing needs
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

COMPETENCIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Leadership Take control and lead group therapy sessions to completion Organization Maintain organization of all of caseload needs in order to remediate needs in a timely manner Maintain accurate notes while facilitating group to develop high quality documentation EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and
TRAINING
Must hold or be eligible to hold active state license CSW, LPCA, CADC, or equivalent licensure Master's Degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or equivalent field If License is under supervision, must meet with Clinical Director for 1 hour per week to review case load, and must provide evidence and contact information of state supervisor Minimum 2 years' experience in a clinical role within Chemical Dependency field OR Master's Level Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or equivalent field Must be committed to drug-free lifestyle and responsible alcohol use Personal passion or interest in substance abuse issues strongly preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Active state license CSW, LPCA, CADC, or equivalent licensure
COMPUTER SKILLS
Competency with Microsoft Office Suite. Comfortable working with electronic healthrecords
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
