Job Description

204 East Central College has an opening for a Therapist responsible for serving as Lead Therapist of Wellness Services. In addition, this position provides Access Services for students on Rolla Campus and serves as a back up to Director of Wellness-Lead Access Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications:
(A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.) • Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work and the appropriate certification or licensure (LPC or LCSW) is preferred. Eligibility for licensure will be considered. • Two years related work experience.
Essential Tasks:
(Employee must be able to perform the following essential functions to the satisfaction of the employee's supervisor.) Serve as the lead therapist and provide counseling/crisis intervention for students with personal concerns. Complete psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, referrals, and discharge summaries for students seeking Counseling Services. Provide presentations covering a range of topics for students related to targeted wellness initiatives, faculty requests, or outreach efforts. Maintain records and documentation for all students receiving Wellness Services and maintain standards set within the International Accreditation of Counseling Services (IACS) and applicable Missouri statutes. Travel to satellite sites to provide services weekly. Oversee of the provision of Access Services to the Rolla campus in accordance with the American with Disabilities Act and Section 504. Oversee Access testing on Rolla campus which requires proctoring supports. Maintain connections with outside agencies that can provide additional access services for students. Act as a liaison with school districts/agency staff in matters involving Wellness Services for current and incoming students Training, and Departmental meetings regarding Access services as needed. Meet with each Academic Division twice a year to discuss current trends seen by faculty about their students. Support student facing events, virtual and/or onsite including but not limited to new student orientation, campus life and leadership events, and admissions open house and recruitment events as needed. Perform assigned responsibilities, and other related duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.

Salary range:
$53,289.60 - $74,713.60. While the full salary range is provided for growth potential, most new hires are initially placed within the lower portion of the range based on experience and institutional compensation guidelines. Position is level 204.
