Job Description
Overview The Art Studio Facilitator leads an engaging group and 1:1 art experiences that support the personal growth, independence, and self-expression of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Guided by the WAE Center philosophy and a commitment to discovering "The Spark Within," this role creates inclusive, hands-on programming in a supportive studio environment. Responsibilities Facilitate group and individual art classes aligned with member interests and abilities Create inclusive, engaging learning environments Develop and adapt art curricula and lesson plans Collaborate with WAE Center staff and leadership Support members during daily activities, including mealtimes and personal care (toileting, lifting, feeding as needed) Maintain attendance records and assist with studio setup/cleanup Support day trips and may operate program vans Participate in required trainings and comply with all program standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 2-4 years of experience in art facilitation or related programming (IDD experience preferred) Strong group facilitation, organizational, and communication skills Creative, flexible, and person-centered approach Why Join Us Join a mission-driven team that values creativity, inclusion, and meaningful connection through art.
