Behavioral health facilities (on-site) About Us Art Healing Hearts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing healing, hope, and emotional expression through art to individuals in behavioral health facilities. Our programs support mental wellness, creativity, and human connection through guided painting experiences. Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Art Assistant (Painting) to support art-based programs in behavioral health facilities. This role is ideal for a painter who is deeply committed to service, understands professional boundaries, and is passionate about using art as a healing tool. Responsibilities Assist with painting-based art in behavioral health settings Support participants with painting materials, techniques, and encouragement Help set up and clean up art supplies before and after sessions Maintain a calm, respectful, and trauma-informed presence Follow all facility rules, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards Represent the mission and values of Art Healing Hearts with professionalism Requirements Must be a practicing painter (acrylic, watercolor, or similar mediums) Strong dedication to nonprofit and community service work Ability to work with diverse populations in behavioral health environments Must pass a background check Must have a clean legal history Must pass a drug screening Reliable, punctual, and emotionally mature Comfortable working under supervision and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or social services (preferred but not required) Experience working with vulnerable populations Familiarity with trauma-informed or therapeutic art practices Why Join Us Make a meaningful impact through painting and service Be part of a heart-centered nonprofit mission Gain experience in community-based healing arts Work alongside compassionate professionals who believe in art as medicine

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
