LCAT LMHC PLLC
is hiring a Creative Arts Therapist for our Cold Spring-on-the-Hudson, NY office! The position is open to all Creative Arts Therapists with at least 2-4 years of experience, and a current New York State License in Creative Arts Therapy, to provide in person individual/ couples/ family/ child psychotherapy in a private practice setting. This is a fee for service, part-time position with the goal of building to full-time, and an amazing opportunity to work with an incredible team! The ideal candidate must have at least 2-4 years experience as a Creative Arts Therapist, and experience working with children/teens and families. Experience with parents and couples therapy is a plus. Priority will go to those who have familiarity with children and teens with neurodiversity, regulation difficulties, including ADHD and sensory processing issues, as well as anxiety. About Us Dancing Dialogue is a unique psychotherapy practice and training institute with locations in New York City and Cold Spring, NY. Currently all of our clinicians are Dance/movement Therapists, but we are open to hiring a candidate specializing in another modality of Creative Arts Therapy. Our therapists are practitioners of an embodied and trauma-informed method of Creative Arts Therapy called Ways of Seeing. The Ways of Seeing method was developed by practice owner, noted clinician, author and educator, Dr. Suzi Tortora. To learn more about Dancing Dialogue, go to https://dancingdialogue.com Responsibilities Provide therapy sessions to children, teens, and adults focusing on their emotional and behavioral health needs. Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate your Creative Arts modality as a therapeutic tool. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Assess client progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary. This role requires 1 day a week at a non-profit in NYC. Qualifications The ideal candidate has a Masters Degree and is a NY State Fully Licensed Creative Arts Therapist. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Has at least 2-4 years of Creative Arts Therapy experience and enjoys working with children and teens Has experience and passion for treating those struggling with grief, anxiety, ADHD, ASD. Has experience and enjoys working in individual and group therapy sessions Is open to slowly growing the position to around 20 clients with opportunity for more Excellent and timely submission of clinical note writing. Excellent communication, clinical and organizational skills Experience using Simple Practice and Google Suite programs or willingness to learn Is comfortable with technology Has experience creating and implementing treatment plans using our Simple Practice software.
