Job Description
FULL TIME ART THERAPIST
The Art Therapy Project is a nonprofit mental health organization providing group art therapy in a safe inclusive space for people in need of mental health services. Clients feel connected and inspired while exploring their personal journeys, increasing their self-awareness and improving their quality of life. The Full Time Art Therapist is responsible for the facilitation of ongoing Art Therapy groups as well as assistance with clinical and administrative tasks related to studio management, clinical data and outcomes, as well as client art shows. The Full Time Art Therapist supervises student interns. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills as well as sound clinical judgment and supervisory experience. Position reports to Program Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Program Responsibilities- Facilitate Art Therapy groups for a range of populations - plan and implement a structured experience to enhance patient self-awareness and self-expression
- Design and implement a variety of goal-oriented group sessions, highlighting and utilizing measurable objectives to assess effectiveness of treatment interventions
- Manage clinical documentation related to art therapy groups and clinical contacts
- Supervise intern(s), which includes one hour weekly individual supervision with each, as well as ongoing oversight of their clinical work and partner sites. Ensure all supervisees complete required documentation
- Manage TATP art studio, including inventory and ordering of supplies, organization and archiving of client artwork and any additional related tasks
- Assist in development, utilization and data management of outcomes and ongoing measurement tools, considering specific group needs and populations served
- Support fundraising and marketing initiatives through the ethical synthesis and translation of client experience and educational materials into content for various stakeholders
- Design and edit marketing materials as required to support clinical programs
- Organize materials to facilitate annual client art shows
- Assist with Continuing Education programming and present as needed
- Assist with organization and facilitation of single session Art Therapy groups, presentations, and Wellness Workshops as they arise
- Participation in meetings and presentations for funders and program partners as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills Required:
MPS/MA Art Therapy;ATR-BC, LCAT
required. Minimum two-three years post-graduate experience providing clinical Art Therapy services to consumers. Exceptional organizational, written, and oral communication skills and administrative skills essential; ability to handle multiple tasks a must. Prior experience working for a nonprofit a plus. Adobe Suite, Canva, Word, Excel and Power Point skills required. Graphic Design skills preferred. Experience with art shows preferred. Can-do attitude, sense of humor and flexibility greatly appreciated. Occasional weekend and evening hours required. Full time, exempt position with excellent benefits and generous time off policy.Salary range:
