We blend academic instruction with comprehensive clinical intervention to support students navigating emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. Position Overview The Therapist at PA plays a vital role in our multidisciplinary team, providing direct clinical support to students within our therapeutic program. This role focuses on delivering high-impact, one-on-one therapy sessions and designing and leading targeted social skills groups to help students build meaningful connections and emotional regulation strategies.
Key Responsibilities OneonOne Therapy:
Conduct individual therapeutic sessions with students to address personalized emotional, behavioral, and mental health goals. Social Skills Instruction:
Plan, develop, and facilitate structured social skills groups and instructional programming to improve students' peer interactions, conflict resolution, and communication. Crisis Intervention:
Provide realtime behavioral support, deescalation, and therapeutic intervention as needed within the classroom or specialized therapeutic spaces. Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
Partner closely with Classroom Leads, behavioral staff, and administrative leadership to integrate clinical insights into the students' daily academic schedules. Family Engagement:
Maintain ongoing communication with parents and guardians to discuss therapeutic milestones, progress, and strategies for athome reinforcement. Qualifications & Skills Licensure:
Valid Ohio clinical license (e.g., LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LMFT). Experience:
o Proven experience providing oneonone therapeutic interventions, preferably with children, adolescents, or young adults. Experience leading or instructing social skills groups or group therapy sessions. oExperience in a therapeutic school, alternative educational setting, or intensive outpatient environment is a strong plus. Core Competencies:
o Deep understanding of evidencebased modalities suitable for youth (e.g., CBT, DBT, play therapy, or traumainformed care).
