Job Description

ACADEMIC AFFAIRS ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN THE HEALTH SCIENCES DIVISION POSITION
Professor, Respiratory Therapy Description of Duties:
Responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabi and the schedule of the Respiratory Therapy Program. Teach fifteen (15) credit hours per semester and maintain a minimum of twelve and one-half (12.5) office hours per week. Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of course syllabi and materials. Teach collaboratively within the Respiratory Therapy Program to include: classroom, laboratory, pre-clinical/clinical components, and clinical supervision. Faculty responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with student advisement and committee work for the Program and the College. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or the Dean, Health Sciences Division.
Minimum Qualifications:
Baccalaureate Degree or working towards a Baccalaureate Degree. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) holding an active Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Four (4) years clinical experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Two (2) years' experience teaching in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program, either as a faculty member or as a clinical preceptor. Light lifting up to 10 lbs. and light carrying up to 10 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and stooping. Mobility to move from building to building on-campus and to visit off-campus sites/facilities.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's Degree or working towards a Master's Degree.
