Job Description

Responsibilities Join the excellent team at Cedar Hills Hospital as our new Per Diem Inpatient Therapist! The Inpatient Therapist performs functions assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs and gaining skills, through therapeutic treatment to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching. As an Inpatient Therapist, you'll be the catalyst for transformation, delivering impactful clinical therapy and crisis intervention to help patients reclaim their emotional health. You'll also serve as a guide, providing personalized care plans and seamless transitions that ensure long-term success for families beyond the hospital walls. Per diem employees must work a minimum of 4 shifts per month; at least one of these shifts may be required to be a weekend shift, unless otherwise specified by the hiring manager.

Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and outpatient services program that serves adults facing an acute behavioral health crisis related to issues of mental health, substance abuse and substance use disorder, as well as co-occurring disorders related to these circumstances. Our programs aim to provide lasting mental health rehabilitation through programs that re-establish a high quality of life.
Qualifications Education:
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or equivalent is required.
Experience:
New Master's graduates encouraged to apply!
Licensure:
Must possess a state license, or be able to attain within two (2) years of employment.
Additional Requirements:
CPR certification, Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
