Visiting Core Faculty Member - Community Engagement Director (CED)

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The marriage and family therapy visiting assistant professor will teach and supervise seven graduate courses over the fall, January, and spring semesters. In addition, this position will advise in the MMFT programs and operate as a core faculty member in the MMFT Department. The position title will be Community Engagement Director, which will require the faculty member to connect with the Upstate South Carolina community to increase and promote awareness of the program. The primary location of this position will be at the University Center Greenville.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The marriage and family therapy visiting core faculty member will teach two classes and supervise in the fall, and teach two courses and supervise in the spring. Summer supervision is available outside of the 9-month contract for additional pay. The assistant professor will participate in faculty and other departmental meetings, such as accreditation meetings, and perform other duties as assigned by the Chair of the Marriage and Family Department. The percentage breakdown of the position is: 70% teaching 25% service to the MMFT Department and Administration work as the Community Engagement Director 5% Research/WritingJOB QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related clinical field completed by August 1, 2027. AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate. Licensed or license eligible as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in SC. Evidence of commitment to and understanding of the Converse MMFT Code of Ethics. Evidence of potential for success in teaching and scholarship. Experiences connecting with community members.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
