Job Description

Optimal Performance and Physical Therapies (OPPT) has an immediate opening for part-time Florida Licensed/Certified Athletic Trainers (LAT/ATC). This position will primarily provide coverage for the local college's athletic department, with opportunities to cover other high school, college, and semi-professional sporting events in the Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. Position will require some nights and weekends hours. OPPT is a private, physical therapist owned group of 16 outpatient rehabilitation clinics with locations across the Tampa Bay area. Primary responsibilities:
  • Part-time head athletic training coverage for assigned school as determined by Lead Athletic Trainer of OPPT Sports Medicine
  • Coverage includes treatment hours, game coverage, and physician referrals as needed.
  • PRN athletic training coverage, for the affiliated high schools, colleges, and independent athletic programs
Terms of Employment:
  • Ten month, part-time position, specific to the assigned institution.
The athletic trainer will work a weekly schedule determined by the Lead Athletic Trainer of OPPT Sports Medicine and site Athletic Director. Weekly schedules will vary according to the athletic season. Employment will be transitioned to per-diem for summer, resuming normal operations, per contract, in the fall.
Requirements:
  • Maintain current certification and continuing education requirements as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification
  • Maintain current state licensure in accordance with the Florida Board of Athletic Training Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification
Pay:
From $32.00 per hour
