Job Description
This position typically reports to a Head Athletic Trainer, Director, or appropriate higher level administrator in the University. This position requires a master's degree from an accredited university; certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC); and eligible for Florida State Department of Health licensure.
- Provides medical care to assigned patient populations, including daily evaluations, emergency care, treatments, rehabilitation sessions, and attending practices and games as assigned.
- Develop injury prevention programs, which may include use of modalities, therapeutic exercises, reconditioning exercises, along with other members of the healthcare and performance team.
- Utilize software to track and document patient medical records and coordinate insurance information.
- Acts as a liaison between patients, parents, coaches, physicians, administrators and others as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
