Job Description
This position typically reports to a Head Athletic Trainer, Director, or appropriate higher level administrator in the University. This position requires a master's degree from an accredited university; certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC); and eligible for Florida State Department of Health licensure.
Provides medical care to assigned patient populations, including daily evaluations, emergency care, treatments, rehabilitation sessions, and attending practices and games as assigned.
Develop injury prevention programs, which may include use of modalities, therapeutic exercises, reconditioning exercises, along with other members of the healthcare and performance team.
Utilize software to track and document patient medical records and coordinate insurance information.
Acts as a liaison between patients, parents, coaches, physicians, administrators and others as needed.
