Job Description

JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS JOB SUMMARY
The certified athletic trainer (ATC) is a skilled allied health professional specializing in prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. Effectively interacts with patients, athletes, physicians, and other healthcare providers while maintaining the standards of care and code of ethics as detailed by Major Hospital and the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Professional & Technical Skills Experience gained through an NATA approved curriculum program in Athletic Training Education BA/BS Minimum License(s) or Certification(s) NATABOC; Indiana License or eligible Other Skills or Requirements Experience in orthopedic practice setting, as a medical assistant, would be helpful. Basic computer skills. Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups) _____ Does not apply __X__ Adolescence (13-17 years) _ ___ All age groups _____ Infants (0-1 year) _____ Geriatric (65+ years) _____ Pediatric/Early Childhood (1-12 years) __X__ Adult (18-64 years)
