Full Job Description Job Posting Announcement:

Athletic Trainer (Track & Field) Wichita State University is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Athletic Trainer to support its Men's and Women's Track & Field program. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a competitive Division I athletics program and contribute to the health, safety, and performance of student-athletes.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing comprehensive sports medicine services to Track & Field student-athletes. This includes injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation, while working collaboratively with coaches, physicians, and performance staff.

Key Responsibilities:

The Athletic Trainer will provide daily athletic training coverage for Track & Field practices and competitions, including travel as required. Responsibilities include evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating athletic injuries, as well as developing and implementing injury prevention programs. The role also involves coordinating care with team physicians and allied health professionals, maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation, and ensuring compliance with NCAA and university policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field (Master's preferred) BOC (Board of Certification) certified Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Kansas CPR/AED certification Experience working with collegiate or high-level athletes preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with Track & Field or cross country programs Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
