Job Description Title:
Personal Trainer/Sports Performance Specialists Supervisor:
Health and Fitness Director General Function Instructs individual and group clients, provides excellent service to clients in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes performance, skill development, and engagement in accordance with the Centers for Advanced Orthopedics.
Competencies Mission Advancement:
Accepts and demonstrates CAO's values. Demonstrates a desire to improve client performance, develop a strong community relationship/network, and to grow CAO as a company.
Operational Effectiveness:
Makes sound judgements, and transfers learning from one situation to another. Embrace new approaches, and discover ideas to create a better client experience. Establishes goals, clarifies tasks, plans work, and participates in conversations with skilled medical providers on site. Follows budgeting/financial policies and procedures. Reports any irregularities in facility, financial, or personal management immediately. Strives to meet or exceed goals and deliver a high-value experience unattainable outside of CAO for clients.
Collaboration :
Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, education levels, experience, and perceptions. Builds rapport and relates well to others. Builds off the framework of evidence-based interventions from the rehabilitation professionals in CAO. Seeks out information, tools, and advice from skilled medical providers within CAO. Remains calm in challenging situations, and strives to understand the other person's point of view.

Pursues self-development that enhances job performance. Demonstrates an openness to change, and seeks opportunities in the change process. Accurately assess personal feelings, strengths, and limitations and how they impact client/co-worker interactions. Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well; uses best practices and demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills in performance development. Principal Activities The following duties are normal for this position. They are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required, and assigned. 1. Conducts energizing, evidence-based, fun, safe, and educational training sessions. 2. Is able to asses a client's current level of fitness, ability to perform exercises with correct technique and progress client towards their goals. 3. Builds effective relationships with clients; helps members connect with each other and other staff. 4. Maintains working knowledge of best practice methods, effective mechanical knowledge of movement patterns, and general mobility requirements to provide successful interventions to clients. 5. Develop, or assist in developing classes, individualized performance training plans, or skill development courses. 6. Be able to setup and maintain an agreed upon schedule. 7. Keeps accurate client records. 8. Marketing duties to include but not exclusive to: talking with doctors about sports performance, attending local tournaments/events to market, giving educational talks to athletes. 9. Cleaning and maintaining work space and equipment. 10. When needed performing aide duties, to include: setting up patients, cleaning, and going through exercises with patients. 11. Follows CAO policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations. Qualifications 1.
Required:
CPR, First Aid, AED, national personal training certifications (ACE, NETA, NASM, ACSM, NSCA). 2. Preferred degree in health sciences. Certifications in areas of experti
